Niacinamide: What It Does for Your Skin and How to Use It

3 min read

If retinol is the ingredient everyone talks about, niacinamide is the one quietly doing the work in the background. It is in four of our six products. That is not a coincidence.

What Niacinamide Is

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. It is water-soluble, sits comfortably in light textures like toners and essences, and is well tolerated by most skin, sensitive skin included.

What It Does

  • Evens tone. It brightens the complexion and helps marks and uneven patches look less pronounced over time.
  • Refines the surface. It balances oil and makes pores look smaller.
  • Supports the barrier. A stronger barrier holds on to moisture and reacts less.
  • Keeps skin calm. The surface looks more settled and even.

Who It Is For

Almost everyone. Oily and combination skin tends to notice the calmer, more even surface first. Dry and sensitive skin benefits from the barrier support. If your skin looks dull or uneven in a way you cannot quite name, niacinamide is a good place to start.

How to Use It

Niacinamide is easy to live with. You can use it morning and evening, all year round, and it layers well with other ingredients, retinol included. The two suit each other: retinol renews, niacinamide helps the barrier keep up.

Results build gradually. Skin often looks calmer within days. Pores and tone take a few weeks of consistent use.

Where You Find It in Our Routine

Because it appears at several steps, you get the benefit without adding another product. That is the idea.

Good to Know

Can I use it with retinol? Yes. Niacinamide in the morning and retinol at night is a combination many routines are built on, ours included. If retinol is new to you, read how to start without the irritation.

How long until I see a difference? Calmer skin within days. More even tone and less visible pores after a few weeks.

Niacinamide is not the ingredient that makes headlines. It is the one that makes everything else in your routine work a little better.
